We climbed it!

Okay, we didn’t go to the top of the Arch, but we climbed the steps going up to the Arch grounds. This event was a little different than our usual ones. Instead of a well-defined registration table with signs and banners, it was just the meet director, walking around with a clipboard. We started at the top of the ramps going to the riverboat cruise. An area rich with history, plus a beautiful view of the Mississippi river. Participants used an orienteering map with 24 checkpoints, but instead of punching at that control, they answered a multiple choice question.
Most of the questions were easy once you were there, but a couple of them caused some confusion. The results below include the approximate elapsed time, the number of questions correctly answered, and which ones were missed.
Since the course is “semi” permanent, if you’re a SLOC member and would like an electronic version of the map and the questions…to go do on your own, email me, mgeldmeier@earthlink.net.
