2021-01-02 Holiday O

Come celebrate the holidays by spending time in the woods! We’ll be setting up both beginning and intermediate point-to-point courses at one of St Charles County’s best parks, Indian Camp Creek

The courses will be available from December 24th, 2020 through Saturday January 2nd, 2021.

Participants can choose to do the course on their own anytime during those dates, or come out with the group on January 2, 2021 at 9:00 am.

Registration: Please register online ahead of time –>. Indian Camp Creek Holiday-O

Beginner course: $10 per adult, $5 per youth, $30 max per family. $0 for members.

Intermediate course: $20 per adult, $5 per youth, $30 max per family. $0 for members.

Both 2020 and 2021 members may use their memberships for this meet. Only 2021 members will be able to use their membership at the Babler meet on January 23 so be sure to renew your membership for 2021 today!

Format: We’ll give you a pre-marked map with the checkpoints on it. In a Point-to-point course, the checkpoints must be found in the order specified on the map. We’ll have a short beginner course (2.9 km) and a longer intermediate course (7.9 km) available to chose from.

Virtual Option: If you do the event on your own, you can either pick up the map (with checkpoints pre-marked) at the meet director’s house in Cottleville/St Peters at any time (they’ll be outside the front door). Or, you can have a scanned digital version sent via email. Email the meet director at mckelley24@gmail.com ahead of time to ensure a map is ready and waiting. Once you get the map, you can go to Indian Camp Creek at any time between December 24, 2020 and January 2, 2021. For safety, it’s recommended you inform someone of your plans. It’s also suggested you email your plan and emergency contacts to the meet director. Start at the youth camping area and track your time. Remember, your goal is to get all points in the order specified on the map. When you’re done, send your time and a picture of the punch card to the meet director. The checkpoints will be taken down after the Group start option on January 2.

Group Start Option: Your map will be waiting for you at 9:00 am on Saturday, January 2 (please pre-register). You can start the course anytime between 9:00-10:30 am. We are using Epunch for the group start so if you have your own SI card please provide your SI number in your registration. If you don’t have your own SI card, no worries, we’ll have one you can use.
