We have another unique event for our summer series.  This small park will be loaded with controls and divided into four quadrants.  Each quadrant will have an unmapped control that you will only have a clue, and your awareness, as you punch the other clues in the quad keeping an eye out for the unmapped control.  Unmapped controls are worth double!  See who can clear this tricky little course in the fastest time and earn your Summer Series points.

Registration table will be at the corner of Lafayette and Mississippi streets.

2019-06-05 Queeny Park Score O Summer Sprint Series Meet #1/4

June 5 6pm Directed by Bryan Niehaus

Welcome to the first of four summer sprint series meets!

Please join us at Queeny Park – the Weidman Road entrance on Wednesday June 5 @ 6PM. Please note, we will begin collecting controls at 7:30 pm.

There will be a variety of formats available.

  1. A Score-O Course for those newer to orienteering – a variety of points around Queeny Park worth various points. You will have a 45 minute time limit.
  2. A Dog Bone Course (we’ll explain) – the OR version – that is a more traditional orienteering sprint course.
  3. A Dog Bone Course (we’ll explain) – the AR version – that is a bit longer than a normal “sprint”, and is more suited for those adventure racer types. i.e., you might be in deeper woods, might get your feet wet, etc.
