The Arch O is up for you and ready for you to explore the recently renovated National Park. Course instructions with fillable clue sheet are attached along with the map.
You may start and end at any point of your choosing. Email or text a picture of your completed course to the Race Director per the instructions when complete.
Make sure you figure out which leg of the Arch is north and which is the southern one!
Course will run through 8/31/20! Get out there and check it out!
Instead of having a traditional meet we are offering a do it yourself kind of meet. This event will be self timed, individual course. Starting Thursday July 30 til Sunday Aug 2, 2 courses will be temporarily set at Creve Coeur Park. The maps are posted below.
There are two courses available. A 5k “sprint” course and a 3k family course. Some of the checkpoints are the same. Once you download the map, print it and then head to the park.
The Start and finish will be at the north end of the parking lot just west of Mallard Lake(that’s the southern lake). It’s the same parking lot as the Lakehouse Bar and Grill
After you do the course, send us an email with your results and will keep em posted.
Below is one of the checkpoints you’ll be looking for. These temporary checkpoints are Orange and in a ziplock bag and stand 2’ high on the ground. Good Luck
Lets have some orienteering fun at Rockwoods Range. In lieu of a formal meet we are setting a challenge that starts today and ends 4/10. Complete this course anytime and post to results to either facebook or email jeffro1978@charter.net. Then we will post the results on our website. After this challenge will be another challenge in the same park using different controls.
4-5-20 Update: Roundhouse parking lot is now closed. If you want to do the course in it’s original format, you will have to park in one of the two parking lots off of Fox Creek Rd. to the West of the Range and navigate to the starting point. Have fun!

This current challenge is going to be 7K long. Start and Finish will be at the western gate next to the gravel parking lot 300 meters south of hencken and allenton rd.
The Control/checkpoint order is 6, 27, 31, 9, 28, 13, 29, 16, 15, then Finish.
Course notes: there is a new gravel trail that looks more like the pic below. If you adjust your map to look like below it will help approach 31

We recommend parking at the south Greenrock TH gravel parking lot and walk to the start at checkpoint 11. Then once you’ve completed the course at 13 please feel free to enjoy your cool down hike back to your vehicle.
If your old map is like David Frei’s and is all marked up, you can purchase a new map from our website. An email will come with a map to print at your leisure.

Gary Thompson is back to set another awesome day in the woods. You won’t want to miss a truly great park for 8hrs! It’ll be a rogaine style event with an 8 hour time limit. Checkpoints are worth different values

This course is going to be a 3 hr Dogbone Score O!
Wait, what does that mean? Glad you asked. There will be a 3 hr time limit to get as many controls as possible. Don’t get back late to the finish, points will be deducted. The Dogbone part means that each control has a partner. On the map it look like two circles and a line, hence Dogbone. The Dogbone controls(or partners) have to be gotten together before you can go onto the next set of controls. We can explain more the day of.

When: Registration starting 8am, MASS start 9 am, Finish Cutoff time NOON.
How much: Free with your $50 family membership, $20 for adults, or $5 for kids and scouts
